Camera or groceries? Well… the groceries could wait. 😁
On my way home from work, I passed a pond and had an unexpected Black-necked Stork photography opportunity. I was surprised — and pretty excited — because it’s not something I get to see every day.
There was just one problem: I didn’t have my camera with me. My plan was to get the groceries on the way home, but suddenly I had a decision to make — groceries first, or go home and get the camera?

I decided the groceries could wait. I headed home, grabbed my camera and made my way back, hoping the stork would still be there.
To my relief, it was. 😁 I had enough time to settle in and capture a few photographs while it moved through the wetland, before it eventually decided to move on.

Sometimes the best wildlife encounters are the ones you don’t plan for. I’m glad I chose the camera over the groceries that day. 😁📷

Beautiful shots of the stork. You always choose what we can enjoy over what you can have. I love the short stork story!
Thank you David! I’m really glad you enjoyed both the photos and the story. Sometimes the unexpected wildlife encounters turn out to be the most memorable ones. 😊
